AIX 6.1 was announced today:
http://www.ibm.com/common/ssi/rep_ca/1/897/ENUS207-271/ENUS207271.PDF

The current release of the CS/AIX server (v6.3.0)
will run on AIX v6.1, but is not officially supported,
so it should not be used for production use.
The next update to CS/AIX will officially support AIX 6.1.

The CS/AIX server component is not and will not be supported
in either an AIX v6.1 System WPAR or an AIX v6.1 Application WPAR.
You can run the CS/AIX server in an AIX v6.1 global (base) system.

The current release of the Remote API Client (v6.3.0.2)
will run on AIX v6.1, but is not officially supported,
so it should not be used for production use.
The next update to the Remote API Client will officially
support AIX v6.1.

The next update to the Remote API Client is supported in
either an AIX v6.1 System WPAR or an AIX v6.1 Application WPAR.
In both cases care must be taken to assure the WPAR has a
unique hostname and can DNS resolve its hostname and the
hostnames of its servers. You may have to customize the
start up scripts (e.g. /etc/inittab, /etc/rc.sna) to do this.

You cannot have the CS/AIX server on a global (base) system
and the Remote API Client in a WPAR at the same time because
they share filenames and library names.

AIX v6.1 is a 64-bit kernel only and the CS/AIX AnyNet only runs
on a 32-bit kernel, so there is no AnyNet support for AIX v6.1.

One thing to watch out for when trying to use the Remote API
Client in one or more an Application WPARs and/or the global
(base) system at the same time is that they share the filesystems,
so they will all see the same /etc/sna and /var/sna, which
could be a problem if you are not using central logging or
want unique configs for each WPAR.
